On April 7, 2026, a "Slogan Writing" competition on the theme of "Digital Addiction" was organized by the Department of Sociology at the Government College for Women, Jind. The event was coordinated by Dr. Suman, Head of the Department of Sociology. The primary objective of this program was to sensitize students to the adverse effects resulting from the excessive use of mobile phones and social media. A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the competition, effectively highlighting the detrimental consequences of digital addiction and the importance of leading a balanced life through their impactful slogans. The students impressed everyone with their creative ideas. Addressing the students during the event, Principal Mr. Narendra Kumar Dhull stated that the judicious use of technology is the key to success in life. He advised the students to make productive use of their time and to exercise restraint in their usage of digital devices. Dr. Archana and Ms. Anita Shyokand served as the members of the judging panel. At the conclusion of the competition, the winning students were felicitated. In the competition, Kashi (3rd Year) secured the first position; Tanu (B.A. 2nd Year) secured the second position; and Parul and Priya (1st Year) jointly secured the third position. Vice-Principal Mr. Anup Mor was also present at the event.
